Function(Other Function)
The Data File Management Function enables CADmeister users to integrate the management of all data about design and manufacturing.
The subject data include the data of CADmeister, various types of document files, and other CAD/CAM system data files.
The Data File Management Function manages data files by the unit of task, 'Work Space' (hereinafter referred to as 'WS').
The subject data files can include CADmeister data as well as other formats of files.
Note that a group of WS's is referred to as 'Work Group' (hereinafter referred to as 'WG'). These data are saved in the specific shared folders of server.
There can be multiple shared folders.
Upon clicking any name of data files registered at CADmeister, CADmeister will start up, and enable users to edit and save the data as they are.
WS's and data files that have been registered can be searched through the use of key words.
Note that a key word can be date, name of WS, name of file, or name of OBJ *1 , annotation of OBJ *1 , or character string of OBJ *1.
(Note that *1 search keywords are only available for CADmeister data files.)
* Note that DMIS requires an optional software provided by manufacturers.
The Data File Management Function enables confirmation of assembly structures without opening individual data files in CADmeister.
By clicking a data link of preview display, the data contents can be confirmed, provided that previews have been already created for the data.
